I’m really interested in the power of perspective. I believer there are an infinite number of ways to view our world. One of the models that makes the most sense to me is that the universe is made up of countless variations of energetic forces so we’re surrounded by all these wildly varying energeies at all times and at any given moment we have an opportunity to chose which current of energy we’re going to align ourselves with. I keep trying to remember to look for the current of love or peace or kindness to step into. It’s something I have to work on every moment or I forget which feels wretched. Another model I really like is the idea that there are cyclical processes happening constantly, like birth, creation, maintenance, survival, dissolution and destruction. There’s also luck, and there’s karma. Karma isn’t like, step on a crack break your mother’s back, it’s more like; eat sugar for breakfast, lunch and dinner and you might have a negative outcome from that. There’s this other thing, and that’s lila, it’s randomness; which is basically: shit happens, and sometimes there’s just no reason for it. I’m fascinated with all these different forces.
